SMOK Novo 5 Pod and Coils

The SMOK Novo 5 kit comes with two Novo 5 Meshed 0.7 ohm MTL (mouth-to-lung) pods of 2 mL each, SMOK lists, and the device accepts pods from 0.5 to 2.5 ohm.1

Airflow is set with an adjustable air-inlet ring. The standard US kit holds the device, the two pods, a Type-C cable and a manual, and SMOK sells it without e-liquid. Full figures are on SMOK's Novo 5 page, which gives no release date.

SMOK Novo 5 Battery, Power and Screen

The SMOK Novo 5 battery is rated at 900 mAh, SMOK says, and it charges over USB Type-C at 5V and a maximum of 0.78A.1

Power adjusts from 5W to 30W and shows on a 0.69 inch OLED screen. The Novo 5 fires two ways: inhale through the mouthpiece, or press the button. SMOK lists it at 96 by 29 by 18.9 mm and 71 g, in 14 colors.

The SMOK Novo 5 is not FDA authorized, and under federal rules a vape can't be legally sold without a marketing order. The FDA's authorized list as of May 2026 names products from only Logic, R.J. Reynolds Vapor, NJOY, JUUL Labs and Glas.2

The Novo 5 was not among the 22 SMOK products that got marketing denial orders on January 16, 2024, a list that includes the older Nord 2 and RPM 40.3

SMOK Novo 5 vs Novo Axis

The SMOK Novo 5 and the newer SMOK Novo Axis both take 2 mL pods, but SMOK lists the Novo Axis with a 1,350 mAh battery, three power modes (ECO, NOR and PWR) and 0.8 and 0.6 ohm meshed pods, against the Novo 5's 900 mAh battery, 5W to 30W range and 0.7 ohm pod.4

SMOK's October 2026 Novo series list names the Novo Axis, Novo Axis EZ, Novo 6 Ultra, Novo Classy and Novo 6 kits, while the Novo 5 keeps its own product page.5
