Who Makes Suorin?
Suorin is made by Shenzhen Youme Information Technology Co. Ltd., the applicant name the FDA used in its 2024 denial.1 Suorin describes itself as the core brand of YOUME Group and, in its page footer, as an affiliate of YOUME Group.3
Suorin's site, as archived in April 2025, says the brand was established in 2016 and passed national high-tech enterprise certification in 2021. It said that as of 2024 it held 4 US invention patents, 4 domestic invention patents, 191 utility model patents and 397 design patents.3 The maker details on this page come from that April 17, 2025 Internet Archive copy of Suorin's site.
Suorin History, From the Air to the Fero
Suorin history begins with the Suorin Air, which Suorin says was the first slim, card-like signature product in the industry when the brand started in 2016.3 Its company history goes on to the drop-shaped Drop, the iShare and Vagon, the Air Plus and Drop II, the Air Mini, an Air Hybrid Pod that blends disposable and refillable designs, and the Suorin SE with what it calls AAA Zero Leakage cartridge technology.
Suorin products were already turning up in reporting on teen vaping in 2018: a June 8, 2018 FairWarning story quoted a Brooklyn vape shop clerk who said teens sometimes asked for the Suorin Drop or Suorin Air as alternatives to JUUL.4
Vaping360's product database dates the Air Mini to August 2022, the Fero Box to July 2024, the Fero Lite to August 2024, the Pico and MAXO to March 2025, and the Fero Box Pro and Pico Lite to June 2025.5 The Fero was reviewed by Vaping Post on June 17, 2024 and by Vaping360 on June 28, 2024.6
In April 2025, Suorin's site listed the Fero Lite, Fero Box, Fero, SE and Pico as products, and the Air Pro, Air Mini and Drop 2 under "Platform."7
Suorin Air Denial: The FDA's January 2024 Orders
The Suorin Air denial came on January 19, 2024, when the FDA issued marketing denial orders to Shenzhen Youme Information Technology Co. Ltd. for two products: the Suorin Air refillable e-cigarette, in various colors, and the Suorin Air empty refillable cartridge.1
In its announcement, the FDA said the applications lacked sufficient evidence regarding abuse liability, that the companies must not market or distribute the denied products in the US or risk enforcement, and that the applicant may submit new applications. The agency also cited the 2023 National Youth Tobacco Survey, in which 3.8% of middle and high school students who had used e-cigarettes in the past 30 days reported using Suorin brand products.1
Vaping360 noted that the FDA's SMOK denials of January 16, 2024 were its first for open-system products that contain no e-liquid or nicotine, and that the Suorin Air denial followed on January 19; until then the agency had focused on prefilled devices and bottled e-liquid.8 The orders named only the Suorin Air device and its empty cartridge, and the Air Pro, Air Mini and Fero are not FDA authorized either.2
Is Suorin Legal in the US?
Suorin devices can't be legally sold under federal rules without an FDA marketing order, and none has one as of October 2026; for the Suorin Air, the FDA's January 19, 2024 order adds that the product may not be marketed or distributed in the US.1
Suorin says that beginning in August 2020, YOUME Group, as one of the first Chinese companies to enter PMTA preliminary review, has been continuously submitting PMTA applications to the FDA.3 That is the company's own account. The FDA decisions on Suorin found for this page are the two Suorin Air denials.
At the border, FDA Import Alert 98-07 lets FDA divisions detain e-cigarettes that lack premarket authorization without physical examination; it covers such products in general and names no Suorin product.9 In Pennsylvania, Suorin was not among the six manufacturers on the state's vape directory as of October 10, 2026, ahead of enforcement against unlisted products that began on October 19, 2026.10
How to Spot a Fake Suorin
To spot a fake Suorin, Suorin's FAQ, as archived in April 2025, says to find the authentic verification code and scan the QR code with a smartphone to get a result.11
For warranty claims, which the FAQ says run 6 months from the purchase date, Suorin asks owners to scratch off the anti-counterfeit layer softly to reveal a 16-digit security code, shown as a QR code and a number. The same FAQ advises replacing a pod after about 5 refills.11
