Uwell Caliburn

The Uwell Caliburn is the original refillable pod system in Uwell's Caliburn line, introduced in late 2018 according to Vaping360, with a 2 mL refillable pod, a 520 mAh battery and output up to 11 W.12 It holds the owner's own e-liquid, so there is no puff count or fixed nicotine strength.

Uwell Caliburn Specs: Battery, Pod and Power

The Uwell Caliburn specs on Uwell's page list a 520 mAh battery, a 2 mL refillable pod, 11 W maximum output and a micro USB port.2 It fires either automatically on the draw or with its button, the pod has a built-in coil and connects magnetically, and five presses of the fire button turn it on or off.

Vaping360 measured the Caliburn at 110 x 21.2 x 11.6 mm and about 34 g with a full pod, or 25 g without one, in its May 22, 2019 review, which called it Uwell's first pod system.3 Its display is an LED light.

The Caliburn and the FDA's 2020 Warning Letter

The Caliburn was one of four Uwell products named in the FDA's April 27, 2020 warning letter, which listed the Caliburn Pod Kit and Caliburn KOKO Kit with the Amulet Watch Pod System and Yearn Pod System as e-cigarettes sold without a marketing order.4 The letter went to Shenzhen Uwell Technology Co., Ltd. d/b/a DTD Distribution Inc. in City of Industry, California, as the importer and distributor.

Vaping360 covered the letter as the FDA telling Uwell to remove the Caliburn from the market, and described the Caliburn as one of the most popular refillable pod vapes by then.1 The letter was one of ten the FDA announced that day.5

Is the Uwell Caliburn Still Made?

The original Uwell Caliburn is no longer in production, according to a US e-liquid retailer's Caliburn guide from December 2025.6

Its successors include the Caliburn A2, which Uwell dates to August 11, 2021, the Caliburn G3 Pro and the Caliburn G5.7 Uwell's series page, as of October 26, 2026, lists models from the G4 Classic to the G5 Vision as current.8

The Uwell Caliburn can't be legally sold under federal rules because it has no FDA marketing order, and it is not on the FDA's list of authorized e-cigarettes as of August 28, 2026.9

Unauthorized e-cigarettes can also be detained at the border under FDA Import Alert 98-07, which covers such products in general.10
