Uwell Caliburn G5
The Uwell Caliburn G5 is a refillable pod system that Uwell announced on April 22, 2026, with a 1,600 mAh battery, output up to 35 W and a pod slot that takes any G Pod Platform (GPP) cartridge.1 It has no puff count because the owner fills it with bottled e-liquid, freebase or salt, and Uwell states no nicotine strength for the device.2
Checked October 26, 2026Caliburn G5 Battery, Wattage and Charging
The Caliburn G5 battery is a 1,600 mAh cell, and Uwell rates the device at a maximum of 35 W.1 Uwell claims up to 6 days of typical use per charge, and the device charges over USB-C at 5V/2A, which Uwell calls fast charging.2
A stepless airflow control on the side moves the draw from a tight mouth-to-lung (MTL) pull to a looser restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) one. Tapping the device three times, a feature Uwell calls Smart Triple-Tap Control, switches the mode, the screen theme or the brightness.
Caliburn G5 Pods and Coils
The Caliburn G5 takes any G Pod Platform cartridge, and Uwell's press release says that covers side-refill and top-refill pods in standard and child-lock versions.1 Coil resistances in the range run 0.4, 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2 ohm.
The kit ships with three pods built on Uwell's new GPP Alpha cartridge, which Uwell's G5 page calls ultra long-life, citing its own lab testing.2 Uwell's press release gives more than one pod capacity, varying by market and pod type, so no single figure is given here.
Caliburn G5 Screen and Build
The Caliburn G5 screen runs a themed interface matched to each color, and Uwell's page lists seven finishes but does not give the screen size.2
The body is aluminum alloy and PCTG with a matte finish, the mouthpiece is soft-touch TPU, and Uwell lists the weight at 65 g. The length varies by market, so it is left off this page.
Is the Caliburn G5 Legal in the US?
The Caliburn G5 can't be legally sold under federal rules without an FDA marketing order, and as of October 2026 it has none; it is not on the FDA's list of authorized e-cigarettes.3 Uwell's PMTA page, which says the company has been preparing applications, does not name the G5 among the products it lists.4
Unauthorized e-cigarettes in general can be detained at the border under FDA Import Alert 98-07.5 The FDA's April 27, 2020 warning letter to Uwell came six years before the G5 and named older products, including the original Caliburn.6
Caliburn G5 vs Caliburn G5 Lite
The Caliburn G5 and the Caliburn G5 Lite share a 1,600 mAh battery, a 35 W ceiling and GPP pod compatibility.7
The G5 adds the themed screen and Triple-Tap controls, while the G5 Lite shows charge on a 4-bar LED gauge and, on the Lite and Lite SE, adds a second airflow adjustment on the cartridge.8
