Mr Fog Flavors by Family

Mr Fog flavors below are sorted into families from the names on Mr Fog's product pages, including line names such as Bubble Gang and Popup.

Who Makes Mr Fog?

Who makes Mr Fog is not stated on mrfog.com, which names no company, but FDA's August 1, 2022 warning letter went to Dongguan Hengtai Biotechnology, Co., Ltd, doing business as Mr Fog, and said the firm manufactures and sells Mr Fog products.4 NJOY's October 19, 2023 complaint in federal court in California also named Dongguan Hengtai Biotechnology, of Dongguan in Guangdong, as the alleged maker.5

Mr Fog's About page describes founders from China, the US and Canada, manufacturing in Shenzhen and research teams in Canada and the US, and says the brand set up a Canadian subsidiary in 2021.6 The site names no US distributor; it offers a distributor application form and says major US wholesalers carry the brand.78

Mr Fog History and Product Lines

Mr Fog's history, as its About page tells it, runs from the MAX series in America in 2019 and the MAX PRO in 2020, which it calls the first of its kind, a series 'that could regulate air', to the MAX AIR in 2021, the SW5500 in North America in 2022, the SWITCH 15000 in 2023, the NOVA in 2024 and the SWITCH POD in 2025.6 Mr Fog unveiled the Aura 60K on October 15, 2025 as its first 60,000-puff disposable and launched the Switch Pod on November 4, 2025.910

Its category page, modified September 28, 2026, lists the Elite 5000, Aura 60000, Nova 36000, Switch SW15000, SW600 and SW5500, the Max Air MA8500, MA600 and 3000, the Max Pro 2000 and Max 1000, plus e-liquids, the DRT open system, the Switch Pod 45000 and nicotine pouches.3 The Elite is a 5,000-puff, non-rechargeable, draw-activated disposable with a 1,000 mAh battery and a mesh coil.11

Mr Fog FDA Warning Letters

Mr Fog products have drawn several FDA warning letters, starting with the August 1, 2022 letter to Dongguan Hengtai Biotechnology, which said FDA had reviewed mrfog.ca and found Mr Fog Max Air 3000 Puffs in two flavors sold without a marketing authorization order.4

On September 12, 2024 FDA warned two online sellers using the Mr Fog name, at mrfogswitch.com and mrfogofficials.com, neither of them mrfog.com; the letters cited Max Air, Switch 5500, Max 1000 and Drop products.1213 FDA's release on September 13, 2024 announced warning letters to five online retailers selling Breeze, Mr Fog and Raz products, and said Breeze and Mr Fog were among the five brands most commonly used by youth e-cigarette users in the 2024 National Youth Tobacco Survey.14

Mr Fog is not in the top five on FDA's page for the 2025 survey, which lists Geek Bar, Elf Bar, Lost Mary, Raz and Vuse.15 A 2025 Justice Department complaint adds that FDA warned a distributor on January 8, 2025 over a Mr Fog Bubble Gang e-liquid.16

Mr Fog and the 2025 Distributor Case

Mr Fog products figure in a US Justice Department case filed on September 10, 2025 in the Northern District of Illinois against Midwest Goods Inc., a distributor in Bensenville, Illinois, case 1:25-cv-10928.16 The complaint says FDA inspectors found Mr Fog products in the company's inventory in August 2025, in packaging indicating manufacture in China, months after the January 2025 warning letter.

On September 25, 2025 the Justice Department and FDA announced the seizure of more than 2.1 million illicit vaping products from five distributors and six retailers in seven states, naming Midwest Goods among the companies sued for injunctions; the announcement itself names no brands.17 The case targets a distributor of Mr Fog and other brands, not the brand's maker.

Mr Fog in the NJOY and Juul Cases

Mr Fog's alleged maker, Dongguan Hengtai Biotechnology, was among dozens of defendants in NJOY's suit filed on October 19, 2023 in the Central District of California, case 2:23-cv-08798, which alleged that Mr Fog products were sold unlawfully in California and noted FDA's 2022 letter.5 CourtListener lists that case as terminated on February 24, 2024.18

Mr Fog products can't be legally sold under federal rules without an FDA marketing order, and none holds one; the FDA's authorized list, current as of August 28, 2026, covers 48 products from five companies.1 FDA's Import Alert 98-07 lets the agency detain any unauthorized e-cigarette at the border without physical examination, though no seizure or import alert naming Mr Fog as a brand was found.19

Pennsylvania began enforcing Act 57 on October 19, 2026, and Mr Fog is not among the manufacturers on its ENDS Directory.20 Texas Senate Bill 2024, in force since September 1, 2025, bars the sale of e-cigarette products made wholly or partly in China, where Mr Fog's About page and court records place its manufacturing; no Texas action against Mr Fog was found.21

How to Spot a Fake Mr Fog

To spot a fake Mr Fog, the brand's authentication page asks for the 20-digit security code from the packaging, typed without spaces, or a scan of the QR code with a phone.22 Mr Fog says to check that the color of the QR code and security code on the label matches the result, and it offers a video tutorial and an email address for reporting suspected fakes.

The sellers FDA warned in 2024 under the Mr Fog name used mrfogswitch.com and mrfogofficials.com, not Mr Fog's official site.12
