Geek Bar Devices

Geek Bar makes disposable vapes, and its official site lists the Pulse X, Pulse, Pulse X 2, Pulse 2, Meloso Max 2, Mate 60K, Spark, Clio Platinum and Somax 80k among other models.5 The four pages below cover the Pulse, Pulse X, Pulse X 2 and the original Meloso Max.

Geek Bar Flavors by Family

Geek Bar flavors on the four devices covered here are sorted below into the site's flavor families, from mint and ice to fruit, berry, candy and drinks.

Who Makes Geek Bar?

Geek Bar is made by Guangdong Qisitech Co., Ltd., usually shortened to Qisitech, which has held the US GEEK BAR trademark since February 23, 2021 (registration 6275589).3 A January 24, 2025 domain-name panel decision says Qisitech was established in 2016 and the brand created in 2015, and gives the company an address in Dongguan, Guangdong.3

Qisitech belongs to Geekvape, the Shenzhen device maker, which called Guangdong Qisitech and a second company, Zhuhai Qisitech Co., Ltd., wholly owned subsidiaries in an April 2025 press release.4 Vaping360 says Geek Bar is made by Geekvape, and Reuters named Guangdong Qisitech as its maker in June 2025.67

Geek Bar's own site lists models from the Pulse X to the Somax 80k, but its footer names no company, address or US distributor and reads only "Copyright 2026 GEEK BAR".5

Geek Bar was the most popular unauthorized vape brand in the US in 2024, with around a quarter of the sales Circana tracked, Reuters reported in June 2025.7 A CDC Foundation analysis of Circana retail data listed Geek Bar Pulse third among the top five brands by dollar sales from July 14 to September 8, 2024, after Vuse and JUUL and ahead of Breeze Smoke and Raz; together the five took 73.0 percent of dollar sales.8

The FDA called Geek Bar "a Chinese-owned and manufactured brand" on August 1, 2024, citing rising sales and possible youth appeal, and later reported that 5.8 percent of current youth e-cigarette users in the 2024 National Youth Tobacco Survey named it.910 The CDC Foundation found Geek Bar the brand most used by 13 to 17 year olds from August to December 2024.8

Geek Bar and the FDA

Geek Bar has no FDA marketing order. The FDA's list of authorized e-cigarettes, current as of August 28, 2026, holds 48 products from Glas, JUUL, Logic, NJOY and the Vuse maker R.J. Reynolds Vapor, and none of them is a Geek Bar.1

A December 2, 2024 letter from the ranking member of the House Select Committee on the CCP told Guangdong Qisitech that it markets products under the names Geek Bar and Raz, and asked it ten questions.11 Qisitech replied on December 10, 2024 that the Geek Bar products it makes are under FDA review through premarket tobacco product applications (PMTAs), and objected to being called unauthorized illegal vapes.12

Geek Bar's own PMTA page says it has filed applications, though its hard-to-parse wording says they include no flavored products other than tobacco and menthol pods.13 An application is not an authorization. The FDA's May 8, 2026 guidance says it generally won't prioritize enforcement against unauthorized vapes whose applications it has accepted and filed, except youth-appealing designs.14

The FDA's Geek Bar warning letters have gone mostly to stores: five online retailers over Geek Bar, Lost Mary and Bang on July 31, 2024; 115 brick-and-mortar retailers over Geek Bar Pulse, Skyview, Platinum and Elf Bar products, announced December 5, 2024; and eight online retailers and one manufacturer on December 19, 2024.91015 None of the letters found for this page was addressed to Qisitech or Geekvape.

Geek Bar Import Alerts and Seizures

Geek Bar imports fall under FDA Import Alert 98-07, which lets the agency detain without physical examination any e-cigarette that lacks a marketing order; its September 4, 2026 revision ties those detentions to the May 2026 enforcement guidance.2

The FDA's older firm-by-firm Red List under Import Alert 98-06 did not name Geek Bar in the copies dated May 2024 and December 2024 that were checked for this page. The December 2024 copy does list Zhuhai Qisitech, added on September 26, 2024 for "RAZ DC25000 ENDS products", which are Raz devices rather than Geek Bars.1617

Geek Bar has turned up in federal seizures. The FDA and US Customs and Border Protection announced on October 22, 2024 that a July 2024 operation found about 3 million unauthorized e-cigarettes worth $76 million, Geek Bar among them, mostly declared as goods unrelated to vapes.18 Reuters reported in June 2025 that FDA data showed 71 vape shipments from China from May 1 to May 28, 2025, against nearly 1,200 a year earlier, after tariffs and seizures.7

Geek Bar Lawsuits and Trade Cases

Geek Bar lawsuits have mostly been trade cases that Reynolds, the maker of Vuse, brought at the US International Trade Commission. Reynolds named Guangdong Qisitech in a false-advertising complaint filed October 13, 2023 (337-TA-1381).19 In its patent case 337-TA-1410, where Guangdong and Zhuhai Qisitech were respondents, the Commission found no violation on March 10, 2026 because the patent claims were invalid as obvious; Reynolds appealed to the Federal Circuit on March 13, 2026.2021

A third case, 337-TA-1486, opened on March 3, 2026 on a Reynolds complaint alleging violations of the PACT Act, state flavor bans, state directory laws and excise taxes. Its 16 respondents include Guangdong Qisitech, Zhuhai Qisitech and Shenzhen Geekvape, and it was still pending at a June 30, 2026 notice.2223

New York's attorney general sued 13 vape manufacturers, distributors and retailers on February 20, 2025 over flavored disposables, naming Geek Bar among the brands at issue; Qisitech is not a defendant.24

How to Spot a Fake Geek Bar

To spot a fake Geek Bar, Geek Bar's Verify Product page says to find the authentication label on the side of the box, scratch off the coating, and scan the QR code or enter the security code at geekbar.com; each code can be verified only once.25 Its FAQ says a genuine product shows "Valid security code", while "Sorry, invalid security code" or a code that is valid but already queried points to a fake.26

Geek Bar also lists look-alike sites that are not Geek Bar, such as geekbarvape.com and geekbarpulse.store, and takes counterfeit reports at anti-counterfeits@geekbar.com.25

Geek Bar FAQ

These Geek Bar FAQ answers use the sources listed at the end of the page.

Is Geek Bar FDA approved?

Geek Bar is not FDA authorized, which is the FDA's term for clearing a vape: none of the 48 products on its authorized list, current as of August 28, 2026, is a Geek Bar.1

Who owns Geek Bar?

Geek Bar is owned by Guangdong Qisitech Co., Ltd., which holds the US GEEK BAR trademark, and Geekvape calls Qisitech a wholly owned subsidiary.34

Is Geek Bar banned in the US?

Geek Bar is not banned by name, but without an FDA marketing order its vapes can't be legally sold under federal rules, and shipments can be detained at the border under Import Alert 98-07.2

Are Geek Bar and Raz made by the same company?

Geek Bar and Raz both trace to Qisitech: a December 2024 House letter says Guangdong Qisitech markets products under both names, and the FDA's Red List ties Zhuhai Qisitech to Raz DC25000 products.1117

How do I know if my Geek Bar is real?

Your Geek Bar is likely real if the scratch-off code on its box returns "Valid security code" the first time it is checked at geekbar.com; a code already queried points to a fake, Geek Bar's FAQ says.26
