Who Makes Raz?

Raz does not name its maker on razdisposable.com, the site that presents itself as the Raz brand site, so the link to a company comes from government records.⁴ The FDA's Red List under Import Alert 98-06 names Zhuhai Qisitech Co., Ltd. for "RAZ DC25000 ENDS products" in an entry dated September 26, 2024, and a December 2, 2024 letter from the ranking member of the House Select Committee on the CCP says Guangdong Qisitech markets products under the names Geek Bar and Raz.²³

Both Qisitech companies belong to Geekvape, which called them wholly owned subsidiaries in an April 2025 press release.⁷ 2Firsts, citing Chinese company records, reported that Zhuhai Qisitech was set up in 2021 under Shenzhen Geekvape, and corrected its story after expert comment to say the FDA alert targets the RAZ DC25000 products rather than every Qisitech product.⁸ The FDA entry itself names only the DC25000.²

The Raz site has product, authentication and wholesale pages and a 2024 copyright line. Its product list shows a Gush edition, DC25000 flavor drops including Fire & Ice and a Frozen Edition, a TN9000 flavor update and a CA6000 Freedom Edition.⁴⁶

Who Owns the Raz Trademark?

The Raz trademark in the US belongs to RAZ Holdings LLC of 2225 Kenmore Avenue in Buffalo, New York, which registered it on April 9, 2024 (registration 7351024).⁹ The application, serial 97725200, was filed on December 20, 2022 by Magellan Technology Inc., which a City of New York court filing places at the same Buffalo address.¹⁰¹¹

That filing describes Magellan as a wholesaler and distributor that owns the Hyde brand, with a sister company, Ecto World LLC, known as Demand Vape.¹¹ The trademark records show who holds the Raz name in the US, not who imports or distributes Raz, and the brand site lists only a wholesale email and an authenticity contact.⁴

Raz and the FDA

Raz came to the FDA's attention through routine surveillance, the agency said on September 13, 2024, when it announced warning letters, issued the day before, to five online retailers selling Breeze, Mr. Fog and Raz.¹² It cited youth-appealing Raz flavors such as sour mango pineapple and razzle dazzle, and the brand site's DC25K flavor page does list a Razzle Dazzle.¹²¹³

A CDC Foundation analysis of Circana data put Raz among the five top-selling e-cigarette brands by dollar sales from July 14 to September 8, 2024, with Vuse, JUUL, Geek Bar Pulse and Breeze Smoke, and among the brands most used by youth in an August to December 2024 survey.¹⁴ Reuters reported in February 2025 that a US distributor's website offered Raz and Geek Bar, two of seven labels the FDA had flagged in warning letters and press releases.¹⁵

No Raz product is on the FDA's list of 48 authorized e-cigarettes, current as of August 28, 2026.¹ None of the FDA letters found for this page was addressed to Qisitech, RAZ Holdings or Magellan.

Raz Seizures and Import Alerts

Raz was among the brands found in a February 2025 seizure in Chicago, where the FDA and US Customs and Border Protection took nearly 2 million unauthorized e-cigarettes worth $33.8 million, the agencies announced on May 22, 2025; the FDA also sent import informational letters to 24 importers.¹⁶

The DC25000 entry on the Red List, dated September 26, 2024, sits under Import Alert 98-06, and a second Zhuhai Qisitech entry dated October 24, 2024 covers Aroma King products.² Since the FDA split its alerts in January 2025, Import Alert 98-07 has covered every e-cigarette without a marketing order, with no firm list, and its September 4, 2026 revision ties detentions to the FDA's May 2026 enforcement-priorities guidance.¹⁷ A larger seizure announced on September 10, 2025, of 4.7 million units worth $86.5 million, named no brands.¹⁸

Raz Trade Cases at the ITC

Raz's linked companies have faced three Reynolds complaints at the US International Trade Commission. Magellan Technology and Guangdong Qisitech were named in a false-advertising complaint filed October 13, 2023 (337-TA-1381).¹⁹ Guangdong and Zhuhai Qisitech took part in a patent case, 337-TA-1410, that ended on March 10, 2026 with a finding of no violation; Reynolds appealed on March 13, 2026.²⁰²¹

Both Qisitech companies and Magellan are among the 16 respondents in 337-TA-1486, opened on March 3, 2026 over alleged PACT Act, flavor ban, state directory and excise tax violations, which was still pending at a June 30, 2026 notice.²²²³ Magellan is also a defendant in the City of New York's 2023 suit and in the New York attorney general's February 20, 2025 suit, though the material reviewed for this page concerns other brands.¹¹²⁴

How to Spot a Fake Raz

To spot a fake Raz, the brand site's Authenticate page says to scratch the QR code below the RAZ hologram on the device and enter the number, or scan the code with a phone camera; each code is unique to one device.²⁵

If a device looks fake, the page asks buyers to return it to the seller and email authentic@razdisposable.com.²⁵ Despite its name, razofficial.com is a storefront that sells Raz alongside brands such as Kado Bar and Mr Fog, not a maker site.²⁶
